Okay so September is here.  What happened.  We feel like we blinked and then it's Back to School.  I still sing that song from the Staple Ad of years ago, "It's the most wonderful time of the year...."   The music at the cafe has been great.  We are using local fruits and vegetables in our lunch and dinner specials and wil continue to into fall.   Our open Mike night has been a gathering place for music lovers, new and old.  The community spirit has been upliftting, warm and welcoming. 

Happenings at the Cafe:  While you have enjoyed a leisurely breakfast or lunch, we have been busy outside of the cafe.  Over the last week or so we have fed 25-150 people breakfast lunch or dinner at their functions, meetings and seminars.  We delivered meals and platters 14 times over the last two weeks.  So when we are loading the van there has been food going somewhere in the area.  We Actually don't deliver, but we will.  If you have a group of 10 or more, and we are able, we will.  We do have 3 weddings planned this fall.  Two here at the cafe, and one offsite.    We also have several private functions planned for the fall as well.  So.... the next time you are thinking about a party, or function or event.....we hope you might think of us at Harvest Cafe.  

There is a new group in town, the Hudson Business Association, which consists of building owners, business people and interested community members who are working to attract new businesses and customers to Downtown Hudson. Please fill out this survey to assist us in gathering Hudson's wants and needs:

Six years ago,  we bought a wonderful little shop called Harvest Bagels, which became Harvest Cafe on Main Street.  Since then, we  moved to Washington Street, expanded our hours, expanded our offerings and opened our doors to all kinds of community gatherings.  We try to raise awareness of local arts, issues, charitable causes, and human services, which all rely on our community for participation and financial support. The Harvest Cafe community has grown beyond the town line of Hudson, and we welcome people who live and work in the surrounding area.

We continue to try new things, and to find new reasons to bring you to downtown Hudson and Harvest Cafe.  The Cafe relies on your patronage to continue to offer community-based events and  local live music.  Thank you for your generosity towards our charitable causes, our servers and the musicians who play at the cafe - you have woven us into the fabric of the Hudson community and your lives.  Join us anytime to be part of our community and see the reason that so many folks make us part of their regular schedule.

Too Hot to cook at home?  Give us a call for takeout, or bring home dinner for the gang.  Get out of your office and enjoy - call ahead and pick up takeout to enjoy at one of the many wonderful parks and green spaces around town. You'll be so glad something good to eat and a refreshing beverage to adjust our outlook on the day or week.  Give Harvest in the afternoon a try.

Spring Cocktails go great with our Live music programming.  We have other beverage offerings for spring afternoons and evenings:  We have added some new fun wines and have been making red or white sangria to order.  We also featuring the Acai berry in a rum punch, a margarita and a cosmo.  We've added a small batch Scottish Gin, Hendricks, which is infused with cucumber and rose petals as well as Stoli Elite Vodka.  Music, Music music....we are booked all through the summer.  The talent is amazing.  Plan a whole evening out or swing by for a snack, dessert or beverage of choice.  Just come see this music, it is so good.       

Planning for dinner and the music? Feel free to call ahead to reserve tables for dinner and the music. We have had many large parties reserve tables for Saturday and Sunday breakfast and brunches lately. Call ahead, we will be happy to take care of you.

UPCOMING: 

Each Month we have a standing date for various groups and gatherings.  These nights are usually at 7pm in the lounge and there is an associated newsletter for each of the following groups:  Book Club, Wine Night, Knitting Night, Songwriters workshop and then occasionally a special interest evening.  Check out the Event page calendar for more details.

 

Open Mike on Wednesdays, hosted by Steve Howard.  Sign up at 7:30pm and play between 8-10pm.  Thursday  through Saturdays, 8pm-10pm and some Sunday Brunches:  Live music in our dining room.  details on the events page.
